One Last Horrah!
The year has come to a close. It's so hard to believe. This is an amazing group of girls and I have so enjoyed teaching them this year. It truly has been an honor. To thank them and celebrate together one last time, we walked to Sherwood Gardens for a surprise luau breakfast picnic (Thanks to all the moms!). We laughed, had water gun fights, ate until our bellies were full, and blew bubbles. Sadly, we had to say good-bye to two of our classmates who are heading to Garrison next year. We will miss them terribly. We presented them with a scrapbook that each girl had added a page to remember their years together. R and M - we'll miss you - please visit often! xo, Ms. Cheston

Farewell to our 6th Age Buddies!
It's been a great year that we have shared with our 6th Age buddies. We have made cards for them, created craft projects and learned what it means to be respectful with them. They have brightened our day and the girls are so tender and genuine with them. We printed pictures of each girl with their buddy, then they made and delivered a card to their buddy to thank them for a great year and wish them well in 7th Age! Hopefully, these connections will continue. Thank you 6th Agers for letting us share your year with you!

BUTLER for the Day!
Today, Mr. Buck was Olivia's butler for the day. He served her breakfast and snacks, and carried her items to class. Olivia won the honor during a raffle last week. It was so much fun! The whole class benefited from her win at the end of the day, when she shared her soda, chips, Twizzlers, and cookies! Thanks, Olivia and thank you, Mr. Buck!

Trip to BMA
Traditionally, the 5th grade visits the Walters Art Museum or the Baltimore Museum of Art to see collections of ancient antiquities and artifacts. This year's class walked the BMA today. The girls were most excited to the examples of celadon pottery about which they've been reading in A Single Shard! They packed their own lunch, so we relaxed in the sculpture garden after our tour. What a beauitful day!

FINALLY! Rock Climbing Videos
I had a 'bug' when it came to posting videos, but with the help of the fabulous Mr. Williams, I'm now able to post the videos from Earth Week of the girls rock climbing! They were fearless!

A SWEET Field Trip!
The 5th grade went to Hershey Park last week and were able to ride to their hearts content! Junk food and roller coasters made it a terrific day, and the ended with a shopping trip at Chocolate World! Farhenheit was closed - bummer, but we got to see them test riding the new Sky Rush with water filled dummies!
AWESOME DAY!
